Established on July 1st. 1945 by Floyd Marion Pearce as World War 2 was ending. Floyd had been the superintendent at the Point Mugu Naval Base Sheet Metal Shop, but once materials were made available for private business, he decided it was time to start the business. In 1974 he retired and sold the business to Clarence Sullivan “Sully” after years of earning a well-deserved reputation for quality. Sully, who had started as an apprentice in 1946 took over and continued with the same attention to quality. In 1995, Sully retired and sold F M Pearce Co. to Abel Montiel. Abel had built a reputation after winning numerous regional and national awards in all phases of the heating and air conditioning and sheet metal business. After more than 79 years F M Pearce continues with the latest in technology coupled with the ability to custom manufacture ductwork to be able to deliver top quality installations to our customers.(Floyd and Sully pictured above at the Carrier Factory in the early 1960's)
